Welcome to Aspire Behavioral Health, Inc.! Our four Founders, Board Members, Executive Team and staff are committed to providing innovative, best practice treatment to seniors who are experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms. Our seniors, age 65 and older, receive psychiatric and medical treatment in a secured and caring environment.
Our founders recognized the desperate need for our specialized inpatient acute care services, and in 2006, formed Aspire Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. American seniors are regrettably under served for their behavioral health care needs, despite the unfortunate fact that seniors age 60 and older have the highest incidence of suicide in the United States. Of this population, males age 80-84 are the fastest growing segment for completed suicides. And, unfortunately, it is estimated that 70-80% of America's nursing home residents suffer from a primary or secondary diagnosis of psychiatric illness. However, few receive appropriate care for their psychiatric disorders. As a result, Medicare statistics indicate that 15 out of every 1000 Medicare enrollees will experience at least one inpatient hospitalization per year for a psychiatric crisis.Healthcare professionals recognize that seniors with behavioral healthcare needs require a specialized treatment setting that does not include younger patients. We also recognize that a holistic approach is needed, to treat not only the senior's psychiatric disorders, but also to continue treatment for any physical health issues as well. At Aspire Behavioral Health, Inc., we offer these critically needed services, and we are proud to be expanding behavioral healthcare treatment for our deserving seniors. Our 5-7 year vision includes opening 40 inpatient, geriatric psychiatric specialty hospitals throughout the United States.
